Who Was André Barbault – And Why You Should Know Him
André Barbault was a French astrologer who spent the better part of the 20th century doing something most of the world dismissed as impossible: mathematically tracking the cycles of the outer planets and using them to predict the trajectory of human civilization.
Born in 1921 and passing in 2019, Barbault dedicated decades to developing what he called the Cyclic Index: a sophisticated model that measures the combined angular relationships between the five outermost planets of our solar system: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. When these planets move into tight conjunction with each other the Cyclic Index drops dramatically and historically, those drops have correlated with some of the most significant collective disruptions in recorded human history. Barbault wasn’t predicting doom.
